Back To School with ExxonMobil Campus Concerts

Source: The Centre for the Arts, NUS

It’s back to school with more excitement, entertainment and fresh new artistes at the ExxonMobil Campus Concerts from 7 - 21 Jan 2004!

Organised by The Centre for the Arts (CFA), these concerts are open to both the NUS community and the general public for free.

The varied programme offers everyone a chance to hang out with their friends and get better acquainted with the local performing arts scene at the same time!

Kicking off the 2004 season are veteran songbirds Jessica Soo and Cai Lilian performing their favourite songs by female songwriters! Followed by a celebration of the Lunar New Year with renowned musicians from the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and thereafter, lots of fresh new music in Conversations, SONGS 2004 and RockFest! It’s a new year loaded with much opportunities for local performers and student talents to take centrestage…

…Unplugged Sessions…

Friday, 9 Jan, 1pm

Dome Kent Ridge, University Cultural Centre

A monthly ‘live’ music session in an informal café setting featuring new and upcoming artistes. The first session features Cubicbottle, a band of 6 singer/songwriters, who will entertain with their original compositions. Featured in a number of music festivals, including Xin Yao Jie 2003, half of Cubicbottle consist of NUS talents! Though frequently labelled as “folk rock”, their songs are not of the conventional rock music genre, but of diverse musical styles.
