Subaru Impreza All Wheel-drive Challenge is back

getforme.com

Last year's winner

MediaCorp Radio's Subaru Impreza all wheel-drive Challenge is back again. This event, which tests the endurance of contestants to the limit, first took place at Ngee Ann City's Civic Plaza in November 2002.

Then, Mohamad Amat, 39, outlasted 120 other participants to win a Subaru Impreza car. The gruelling event saw the participants braving the sun and the rain for days on end. By the end of the third day of the contest, only Mohamad was left holding onto his designated spot on one of three Subaru Impreza cars at the venue.

This year's event, hosted by Class 95FM, has opened its doors for registration. To qualify to enter the Challenge, you just need to tune in to Gold 95FM and Perfect 10 98.7Fm from 6 - 24 Oct 2003 for your chance to qualify.

For instance, be the 9th caller to Class 95FM when the presenters open up their phone lines for callers to enter the Challenge, and you get a chance to qualify. Then, gear up yourself at Ngee Ann City's Civic Plaza on Saturday 1 Nov 2003 for the lucky draw at 11am.

If you are lucky, simply place your right palm on a designated palm decal on a designated vehicle from 1pm on Saturday 1 Nov 2003. The last person to have his/her palm remaining on the vehicle at 8pm on Wednesday 5 Nov 2003 will be the winner of a new Subaru Impreza 1.6 TS car.

In the event that there is more than one contestant remaining on the vehicle at 8pm on 5 Nov 2003, a further challenge will be issued to the remaining contestants to decide the winner.

Participants are given a 5-minute break every hour. They can use this break to visit the toilet and/or eat in the Hospitality Tents. All food and beverage will be provided by MediaCorp Radio only.

Contestants are not allowed to shower, bathe or shave. They also cannot use any personal hygiene cleaning devices such as wet wipes, tissues, talcum powder, etc. Contestants are also not allowed to urinate into their clothes.
