Richard Clayderman to perform at Singapore Indoor Stadium

Mdm Kang's Kitchen Chilli Crab

French pianist Richard Clayderman will be giving a one-night performance at Singapore Indoor Stadium on 15 June 2002 at 8.00pm. Also taking the stage are child-prodigy pianists Benjamin BOO, 10, and Clare YEO, 10.

Born Philippe Pages on 28 Dec 1953, Richard encountered music early in his life. He was accepted at the Conservator of Music at the age of 12. It was here that he won first prize when he was 16. Much to everyone's surprise, he cast aside his classical training and turned to contemporary music.

His talent was noticed and he soon became much in demand, as an accompanist to major French stars, such as Michel Sardou, Thierry LeLuron and Johnny Halliday. It wasn't long after that he became a major star himself.

Benjamin BOO could play from memory any number of pop tunes at the age of four. Such was his talent that Mr Tedd Joselson, a renowned classical musician, decided to come out of retirement to train him.

Clare YEO was one of the gifted young pianists with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts from 1998 to 2000. She attained distinction in the ABRSM exam at the age of eight.

Tickets for the concert are available at S$45, S$55, S$65 and S$85. (excludes GST and S$1 SISTIC fee per ticket) Buy your tickets now through the SISTIC web site. Click HERE! or call their hotline at (65) 6348 5555.
