Ronan Keating - Destination Singapore Concert

7 Feb 2003  8pm  Singapore Indoor Stadium

Source: Publicity Ink

Ireland’s youngest star crooner, Ronan Keating, today confirmed he would be in Singapore to headline a concert at Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, 7 February 2003 at 8pm.

This 25-year-old singer and former member of the UK band, Boyzone, has to date sold more than 16 million albums. ‘Destination’, released on the 20th of May 2002, is Ronan’s sixth album and his second solo project.

Since scoring his first #1 self titled album in the UK Album Charts with the enduring tracks “When You Say Nothing at All” (August 1999) and ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’(July 2000), Ronan firmly established himself as a singer in his own right.

Not stopping short at success, Ronan enters a new chapter in his musical career with his latest solo album. From the infectious "I Love It When We Do" to the UK hit of " Lovin Each Day" to the Garth Brooks and Kent Blazy -penned "If Tomorrow Never Comes," the highly anticipated collection is a powerful and passionate addition to Ronan’s body of work.

As its title suggests, the album stands as one of the singer's most earnest and emotive works. For Ronan, "Destination" represents a facet of his talent and personality that he had yet to fully display on record.

“I know what I'm about now, I found my sound, I know what I want and I wanted the album to sound like that,” he explains. ”So when I approached the music I knew that I was more confident than I was when I initially started the first album. So yes I guess I could be a little bit more adventurous in where I was going musically and lyrically."

The event, organised by Midas Promotions, will be the second leg of the Destination Asian Tour. He will be performing in Bangalore, India prior to Singapore and thereafter in Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Brunei, Hong Kong and Japan.

Tickets are on sale at all Sistic outlets from December 20, 2002 and priced at $40, $60, $80, $100 (excluding $1 Sistic fee) . Please call 6348 5555 or  visit www.sistic.com. Priority booking for MTV cardholders from the 13th December to 19th December 2002.
