Singapore Shorts Film Festival 2002

Following the successful premiere of Singapore Shorts Film Festival last year, The Substation will be organising, for the second time, Singapore's first and only dedicated international short film festival from the 11 - 16 Nov 2002.

A Call for Entries from filmmakers from around the world to participate in this film festival is now on.  Deadline for entries is on Thursday, 15 August 2002.  Entry forms are available from The Substation’s website at or at The Substation Box Office or by calling Ms. Yuni Hadi from The Substation at Tel: (65) 63377535.

The Singapore Shorts Film Festival is a curated festival aimed at championing the independent spirit of the short film format, and will reflect the diversity of an international selection of short films.  Artistic merit and quality of the films will be the foremost consideration in the selection of entrants for the festival.

Six films from the total number of films screened during the festival will be nominated to vie for the festival’s ‘Voice Awards’.  Of which, three will be awarded the ‘Voice Awards’ based on audience votes during the screenings in recognition of the short film’s originality and quality.
