New HDB/URA parking coupons in use now

URA and HDB would like to remind motorists to display the new parking coupons from 1 Sep 02.

The new hourly parking charges for cars at public car parks in the Restricted Zone will be $1.00 per half hour, and $0.50 per half hour at car parks outside the Restricted Zone.

New parking charge for motorcycles is $0.65 per day. The hourly parking charges for heavy vehicles will be $2.00 per half hour at car parks in the Restricted Zone, and $1.00 per half hour at car parks outside the Restricted Zone.

Details of the revised parking charges are provided in Annex A. The new charges are also indicated on the signboard located at the entrance to the car parks.

The new parking coupons are on sale since 8 Aug 2002. Motorists can purchase the coupons at all 22 HDB Branch Offices, HDB's Car Park Section at HDB HUB at Toa Payoh Central, URA Centre, 13 temporary exchange centres set up by URA and other parking coupon sale outlets such as Cheers, Esso, Mobil and Shell petrol stations, Singapore Post Offices and NTUC Supermarkets.

In addition, motorists are also allowed to exchange their unused parking coupons for new ones by topping up the difference in value. There is no deadline for motorists to exchange their unused coupons. They can exchange the coupons at all 22 HDB Branch Offices, HDB's Car Park Section at HDB HUB at Toa Payoh Central, URA Centre and the 13 URA temporary exchange centres. Details of the exchange locations are provided in Annex B.
