Get For Me: Monday with the Editor

Hey! It's Valentine's Day today. Have you sent the bouquet of roses to your loved one yet? Do it quickly before she thinks you have forgotten and gets mad at you. She won't give you any peace for the next week or so. At least, mine didn't.

You see, I forgot to send my wife roses for her birthday last month. It's already mid-February and she has not forgotten. The point to note is this. No matter how busy we are or how urgent our work is, nothing is more important than getting roses for our loved one. We are judged by the amount of attention we give her, not by what we put on the dinner table. (I am not sure everyone agrees with me on this, anyway.)

NTUC supermarkets now offer a bouquet of five stalks of roses at S$9.90. If you are in Singapore, why not hop over to their supermarket and take a look. At local florists, a bouquet of six stalks of roses costs S$45 (cash and carry).

People who grew up in the 80's will remember Boy George and Culture Club. Well, they will be in Singapore for a One Night Only performance at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 18 Feb 2000 at 8.00 pm. Tickets are at S$120, S$95, S$70 & S$35. Get them at Sistic outlets. Click SISTIC .
