A senior Trade & Industry Ministry official was charged in a district court yesterday with two counts of molest. Deputy Secretary (Trade) Tay Thiam Peng, 43, who is also deputy chief executive officer of the Trade Development Board, is believed to be the highest-ranking govt official charged with molest. He is accused of molesting two women on different occasions at the TDB office at Bugis Junction Tower in Victoria Street.
